Obituary for Doloris Rolsing

Deloris (Dee) Dokken Rolsing, 87, passed away peacefully the morning of November 22. She was born on July 25, 1930 in Adams County, North Dakota. Moved to Lemmon, South Dakota where she attended Lemmon High School. She later moved to Seattle where her and twin sister Doris went to work at the Boeing Corporation.

She met John Rolsing in Seattle and was married on August 15, 1953 in Minneapolis. They had four children to grow their family along the way. From there John joined the US Army which took him to New Jersey, Alabama, Michigan and settling in Indian Harbour Beach, Fl. in 1960.

Dee and John were active in many community functions and members of several organizations. They were members of the Melbourne Yacht Club during the 1960’s. They became parishioners at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church in 1961 and continued as life members. She was a substitute teacher at Holy Name of Jesus, participated in the March of Dimes, troop leader for the Boy Scout of America, and numerous beachside community functions.

Dee worked as a real estate agent for National Reality and retired in early 2000. She enjoyed taking vacations which included several family reunions dating back to the 1960’s with her 6 siblings and their families. They would meet in different parts of the country every 3 years and always enjoyed planning the next event. After her children were grown her travels consisted of cruises, frequently staying in Michigan with her husband Art Busch for the summers, loved to golf with friends and family, and once in a while enjoyed a night with family at the local Moose Lodge.

Dee is survived by her sons Doug Rolsing (wife Shirley) Michael Rolsing, daughters Barbara Rolsing and Janet Basey, grandchildren Shawn Alexander, Derek Basey (deceased) and great grandchild Jade Alexander.

Services will be held at the Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church on November 30 at 11:00 and burial services will immediately follow at Florida Memorial Gardens.
