Obituary for Norma Gay

Norma Warren Gay of Melbourne Beach passed through the veil on March 09, 2018. She was a remarkable woman who was an example of love, compassion, strength and integrity for her three children: Jackie Dee Bolin, Leslie Godbold and Jim Gay as well as her seven grandchildren: Terry Kirkland, Mandy Higgins, Michael Kirkland, Jennifer Williams, Ashley Amerson, Stephanie Gunter and Polly Gay. Norma also had seven great grandchildren: Damian, Hunter, Christian, Peyton, Colby, Caulder and Lela Grace who were the "best" in her eyes -- they called her by a nickname: TZ.. She dearly loved her brother Jerry Warren of North Carolina and her sister Becki Gaddum of Spirit Lake, Idaho. She always loved her faithful four legged companions: Junior and Peggy Sue. Norma absolutely loved her "married in" family: Barry, Don, Janeth, Mark, Jessica and Danielle. Our family would especially like to thank Jessica Kirkland for the dedication and care she gave to TZ the last few weeks of her life. Norma also adored every member of her family especially nieces and nephews: Wendy, Jill, Alesia, Scott, Lee, Amber, Sean, Todd, Bret, Judd, Mckee and Cade! Our family did not just loose a love one ~~ we lost a piece of our heart!

Norma was a strong woman who illustrated that an intelligent woman in the business world can make a change. After a long management career, she retired to what she called "the most beautiful city": Melbourne Beach. In Melbourne Beach, she was a member of the Library Board, The Historical Society, as well the Investment Club. She always told of her first visit to Melbourne Beach; she met and became best friends with realtor Winnie Atlas. Norma loved trivia challenges, attending concerts, dining out with friends and family, and she was an avid reader. She LOVED to travel ~~ besides traveling worldwide numerous times ~~she also made road trips across the United States many, many times. She and her best friend Carol Hickey (and her husband and great cook Bud) have had so many fantastic experiences. Norma's favorite place was sitting on her patio watching the birds, dolphins and manatees of the Intercoastal Waterway or watching Christian and Colby in the pool. She also loved going to the mountains of North Carolina for family reunions with family especially cousins and friends like Eddie, Linda, Larry, Diane, Matt, Betty & Bobbi, Leslie and the Pulley's.

As Norma crosses through the veil, she will be greeted by her father and mother ~Bates and Polly Warren, brother Ron Warren, Aunt Kate, Uncle Wicker and more family in Heaven. We know FAMILY can be together FOREVER; so until we meet again at a seat at Jesus's feet, we will LOVE you forever and EVER AMEN!
