Obituary of John Michael Sparks

John Sparks, 36, passed away on Friday March 22 just before 6 o’clock in the morning while sleeping in his bed. Born on October 14, 1987, John lived life to the fullest from the beginning to the end. His kindness, wisdom, and compassion touched and inspired anyone who had the privilege of getting to know him. When he was young John was passionate about sports and martial arts. He played baseball and football also training with his padded nunchucks every Saturday morning alongside the Ninja Turtles on the TV. He later went on to acquire a set of LED nunchucks that he would spin with impressive skill at the many music shows he attended during his life. John loved video games growing up and took huge inspiration from the heroes in these stories when he went on to join the Army Rangers at 17 years old. He lived up to his hero aspiration by spending 6 years in the military doing everything in his power to help and defend innocent people oversees before leaving the service and moving back home to Florida where he met his future wife, Niki, and quickly became the love of her life. The two met in 2013 and became instant best friends. Two years later, their friendship had blossomed into a romance that would continue on for 8 years when they got married in 2023. John proved to be an amazing husband. He was caring and kind, always attentive and nurturing, and always striving to be the best he could be each day. He was the best man Niki had ever met. Towards the end of his life, John spent much of his time tending to his succulent garden, dining out at exotic restaurants, traveling, attending music shows, and spending time with all those who loved him.

John’s light far outshined all the darkness in the world. He was a strong, comforting presence to all those around him and his bravery knew no bounds. He is survived by his adoring wife Niki, his sister Kimmie, brother Dakota, and father Gary all of whom will miss him everyday that he is not here.
