William George “Bill” Drescher passed away January 16, 2019 in Indian Harbour Beach, Florida, after a long illness. Bill, son of William Frederick and Dorothy Drescher, was born in Irvington, New Jersey. He was 77 years old.
Bill is survived by his wife of 53 years, Lois Diane Drescher, and his three sons, William George Drescher, Jr. of Cool, CA, Andrew Laurence Drescher, of Riner, VA, and Thomas Kenneth Drescher, of Atlanta, GA, and eight grandchildren, Mackenzie Lee Drescher of New York, NY, Madison Diane Drescher of Atlanta, GA, Sophie Michele Drescher of Cool, CA, Sadie Lynn Drescher of Cool, CA, Charles Quincy Drescher of Riner, VA, William Elbert Drescher of Cool, CA, Ava Noel Drescher of Atlanta, GA, and Wyatt York Drescher of Cool, CA, and a host of other relatives and friends.
Bill served in the United States Navy where he became a member of the Royal Order of the Bluenose for the time his ship was deployed to the North Pole. During his service his ship was deployed to Guantanamo Bay during the Cuban Missile Crisis.
Following the Navy, Bill became a Police Officer in Newark, New Jersey.
After leaving the Newark Police Department, Bill pursued his dreams of becoming an entrepreneur. Among his many ventures he was a restaurateur and real estate agent in Parsippany Troy Hills, N.J. Following his move to Florida, Bill continued in sales as an Insurance Agent and then founder and CEO of All Florida Coffee Service, Inc.,which he owned and operated for more than 25 years. Bill was a Member of Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church in Indialantic, FL for more than 45 years. He served as an Eucharistic Minister. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus for fifty-five years. Bill also served as a volunteer for the American Cancer Society.
Visitation hours will be held on Friday, January 25th from 2:00 to 3:00 PM and from 5:00 to 8:00 PM., at Beach Funeral Home, Indian Harbour Beach, Fl.
A Funeral Mass for Bill will be held at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church in Indialantic, on Saturday, January 26th, at 1:00 PM.
