Obituary

Carol was born to Calvin W. (deceased) and Joanne M. Capper September 6, 1961 in Norman, Oklahoma. She loved life, family, friends and animals.

Carol graduated from Satellite Beach High School in 1979. She lettered in track and field events. She was awarded a scholastic scholarship to the University of Florida. After the onset of multiple sclerosis, Carol moved to New York state for the drier climate. In later years she was hospitalized at Ferncliff Hospital and Nursing home in Rhinebeck, New York until she passed away peacefully at age 57 on January 8, 2019. She was attended by the same nursing staff who loved her through those years.

Carol is survived by her mother, Joanne M. Capper; one brother, Cary W. (Nancy Eisenhauer) Capper; two nephews, Christian Wade and Noah Thomas Capper. She has one uncle, Richard (deceased)Dean(Barbara Adams) Moon, 3 cousins and one aunt, Shirley Capper (Milton (deceased) Skov), and 3 cousins.
Carol, being a water nymph, asked her father for scuba lessons. They both took those scuba lessons and Carol, at age 9, became one of Florida’s youngest certified scuba divers. Her ashes will be buried near Molasses Reef off Key Largo, Florida where the family made many dives and her father’s ashes were placed.

A memorial service will be held February 2 at 1:00PM at Beach Funeral Home – East, 1689 South Patrick Drive, Indian Harbour Beach, Florida with friend, Scott Whipple, officiating.

A Celebration of Life will be held following the service. All are invited to attend.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Foundation.

I was blessed to know Carol during high school. And although a year behind her, I consider Carol to be one of my closest friends during that time. I too was on the track and cross country teams and remember chasing Carol around the track for 3 years. She could run!!!! I then followed her to the University of Florida where we had a few classes together. I remember Carol as easy going and tolerant and she had the ability to make instant friends with her smile. I send my prayers and deepest sympathies to the Capper family during this difficult time.

I remember well the day that my best friend, Joanne, called to tell me that Carol Lynne had arrived. I was so happy to hear the news and loved her name....my middle name is Carolyn, so I felt a bit like her namesake. We had a few family visits where our kids who were very close in age to Cary and Carol, enjoyed some fun time together. My son, Grant, never forgot Carol and if miles had not separated them I feel sure they would have been very close. I remember Carol as a very pretty and very active little girl....and wish I could've known her as an adult. Love you, Carol....I know you will find your Dad and my Bill together talking about their old flight training days in the Air Force....give them both big hugs from me!

I too have lost a loved one in death and found comfort in the Bible's hope at Acts 9:36-41 and 24:15. I hope this gives you comfort as well.
