Obituary of Steven J. Luedeke

Steven J. Luedeke, age 55, died in Hospice on Friday, August 21, 2009, after a gallant battle with cancer. He was born in Mass. in the hospital at Ft. Devens (where his father was stationed). He grew up in New Jersey. "Steve" was always athletic and played baseball as a youngster. He was an avid cyclist and was well known in the sports community. The recent cancer ride sponsored by his biking friends was an emotional highlight during his illness. He enjoyed playing his guitar for relaxation. He is survived by his mother, Madeline, of Palm Bay; his brothers, Raymond of Toronto, and Thomas of Indialantic; four nieces and their families; and his "soul-mate" Ambra. Arrangements entrusted to Beach Funeral Home, S. Patrick Drive, Indian Harbour Beach. The hours from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 26 are open at the funeral home for those who wish to pay their respects. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Wuesthoff Hospice, Wuesthoff Medical Center, 110 Longwood Ave., Rockledge.
