Obituary of Evangeline Rita Shay

Evangeline Rita Shay, 87, a retired homemaker died, Friday, August 28, 2009, in the loving environment of Ginny's Place in Rockledge. She was the wife of the late Robert M. Shay, Sr. Mrs. Shay was born in Winthrop, MA. She came to Brevard County in 1966 from Westwood, MA. Although, early on employed by the Internal Revenue Service, her most well known work in life was that of mother, grandmother and homemaker. She was a member of Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church in Indialantic since 1966. Survivors include daughters, Pamela Pare of Sergeantsville, N.J. and Claudia Say of Kailua, HI; sons, Robert Shay, Jr. of Bishop, CA, Gregory Shay of Alameda, CA and William Shay of Rockledge, FL; and 16 grandchildren. No calling hours are scheduled. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, September 3, 2009 at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church at 11 a.m. Beach Funeral Homes in Indian Harbour Beach is in charge of arrangements.
