Obituary of Otto Rudolph Schutze

Otto Rudolf Schutze, 69 died after a courageous battle against Cancer on September 18, 2009 at home surrounded by his loving family and friends. Otto was born in Czechoslovakia April 1, 1940 and arrived in New York City at the age of ten. He was the son of the late Otto and Christine Schutze. He attended New Rochelle High School, graduated from Westchester Community College and served in the United States Air Force. He was an avid skier, boater, loved to cook and entertain, and enjoyed playing with his two shih tzus, Oliver and Milo. Otto worked in sales for EcoLab, a Fortune 500 company for many years before his passion for travel led him to a career as a travel agent opening the world to his cherished clients. Survivors include his loving wife of 33 years, Joyce Schutze, two daughters, Tina Sommers of Columbia, MD and Sue Anne Feingold of Palm Bay, FL; his brother, William Preuschoff; his sister, Katherine Preuschoff-Zito and their families; four grandchildren, Trevor, Connor, Maddie and Alex. A private gathering of family and friends will be held Saturday, September 28th at La Placita Restaurant in Melbourne between 2:00 and 4:00 p.m. in celebration of his life. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be made to the Hospice of Brevard County. Beach Funeral Home in Indian Harbour Beach is assisting the family.
