Obituary of John E. Ellis

John E. Ellis, 84, of Indian Harbour Beach, passed away Tuesday, December 8, 2009. He was born in Ozona, FL to Viola (Bagget) and Alexander Ellis, and has lived in Brevard County for 24 years coming from Amarillo, TX. John is a veteran of the U.S. Army with 26 years of service, serving in WWII and Vietnam. He was a Past Master of Harbor City Lodge, Melbourne, FL, and member of Azan Shrine Temple, Scottish Rite. Prior to retirement he was employed as an electronics technician for the Federal Aviation Administration in Amarillo, TX. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Angela; son, Robert R. Ellis; daughters, Brenda King and Angela Ellis; brothers, Olen Ellis and Les (Betty) Ellis; sister, Naomi (Scotty) Burns; eleven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. John was preceded in death by his four children, Jerri Lynn Randles, Toni Dee Soto, John Steven Ellis and Carol Lee Roden. A gathering of friends and family will be held at Beach Funeral Home, Indian Harbour Beach, Saturday, December 12, 2009 from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m., with the funeral service beginning at 2:00 p.m., with full Military Honors and Masonic Rites.
