Obituary of Justine Lorraine DelViscio

Justine "Lorraine" DelViscio, 83, of Melbourne, died Saturday, December 26, 2009. She was born in Iowa, and grew up in the northeast. She began her career as a registered nurse at PGH in Philadelphia, PA. She met and married her husband Vincent; they spent many years in Charlotte, NC before her retirement when they moved twenty-five years ago to Brevard County. Lorraine was a member of St. John's the Evangelist Catholic Church (Viera), Cocoa Beach Library Group and Dance Club International. Given her love of nursing and helping those in need, she was a tireless volunteer with several organizations including Wuesthoff Town Square Assisted Living Facility in Melbourne. She is survived by her loving family, which includes; sister, Marilyn Mascolo; daughter, Christine (Tom) Montis; sons, James (Lorry), Vincent (Peg) and Stephen (Mary); grandchildren, Julie, Lisa, Thomas, Janet, Erica, Thomas, Jeffrey, Jennifer, Lisa, Gracie, Max and Skye; and ten great-grandchildren, Justin, Ryan, Jimmy, Abby, Morgan, Joe, Brendan, Allen, Tyler and Alana; two nieces and five nephews. Lorraine was preceded in death by her son Thomas 30 years ago; and husband, Vincent 12 years ago; and brother Wayne. Memorial Gathering will be at Beach Funeral Home, Melbourne/Suntree, Monday, December 28, 2009 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., with a prayer service at seven-thirty p.m. A Memorial Mass will be held, Tuesday, December 29, 2009, 10 a.m. at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 5655 Stadium Parkway, Melbourne, FL. 32940 In lieu of flowers, the family asks donations be in her name to St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 5655 Stadium Parkway, Melbourne, FL. 32940 or Wuesthoff Hospice Care Center, 8060 Spyglass Hill Road, Melbourne, FL. 32940.
