Obituary of Arthur R. Giroux

Arthur R. Giroux, 78, resident of Brevard Co, passed away Sunday, August 29, 2010. He was born & educated in Waterville, ME and earned his Bachelor of Science and Doctorate in Optometry Degree at Massachusetts College of Optometry in Boston. He is a graduate of Pepperdine University with a MBA. After serving 26 yrs in the U.S. Army as an Optometrist followed by 11 yrs with the American Optometric Association, he retired and moved to Florida. He is a member of the Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church. He was a member of Brevard Co School Health Advisory Committee. Dr. Giroux is survived by his wife, Nancy of 56 years; his brother, Michael; 5 children, Debbie, Carrie, Greg, Leslie & Tim; 9 grandchildren, Chad & Megan, Elizabeth & Kristen, Nora, Joe & Colin, Kyle & Sydney, 1 great-grandchild, EmmaGrace. Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 2, 2010, at 6:00-8:00pm at Beach Funeral Home. A funeral mass will be held on Friday, September 3, 2010, at 1:30pm at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Holy Name of Jesus Education Endowment Fund or Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. Interment will be at Jacksonville National Cemetery with full Military Honors provided by the U.S. Army.
