Obituary of Olive J. Shannon

SHANNON Olive J, 79, married to her beloved husband, the late Herbert Shannon for 53 years, died on Nov 7, 2010. She was born in Montreal, Canada on March 11, 1931 the daughter of the late Henry and Esther Dinsdale. She enjoyed a 40 yr. Montessori teaching career touching the lives of thousands of children. She was a past board member of the Brevard Children's Home Society of Florida and a previous resident of Melbourne, FL. She is survived by her children, Steve (Martha) Shannon, Lexington, Lynn (Lou) Foehrkolb, Schertz, TX, Carol Shannon, Washington, DC, and Richard Shannon, Iowa City, IA; and six grandchildren, Matthew Shannon, Jenny (Evan) Green, Robert Foehrkolb, Katie Foehrkolb, Katie Shannon, and Annie Shannon. Proud parent of Peaches. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Brevard Children's Home Society of Florida, 326 Croton Road, Melbourne, FL 32935.
