Obituary of David John Kovak

MSG David “Dave” John Kovak, USAF, Retired, 58, of Satellite Beach, passed away on Friday, April 17, 2020. He was born on March 7, 1962 in Brooklyn, NY to the late John and Virginia Kovak. Dave served his country honorably in the United States Army and Air Force, retiring after almost 30 years of service with countless decorations and awards. He was the proud recipient of the John Levitow award, the highest honor awarded to the top graduate of his NCO Academy Class consisting of hundreds of classmates throughout the Air Force. Dave was a member of the Shooting Team with the 177th Fighter Wing, New Jersey Air National Guard. He was a 4th degree martial artist in several styles, physical fitness enthusiast, avid guitar player and collector, and enjoyed his new hobby studying astronomy and following the Space Program.
 
His sister and brother-in-law, Bernadette and Richard Whalen, predecease Dave.

 
Survivors include his loving wife, Jill Kovak, children; Virginia Perry (Brian), Alexander Kovak, and Abbigayle Eberhart (David), granddaughter; Olivia Perry, brother; John Kovak (Antoinette), nephews; George Sorenson (Carol), and William Sorenson (Diane), mother-in-law; Lenore Wilke, fur babies; Larry and Bridgette, and loving extended family of friends.

 

Due to current events, services will be private.
