I knew Tom for about 15 years or so. Tom was married to my then sister -in-law, Diana. While I mostly got together with Tom at family holidays and events I had the opportunity on a couple of occasions to spend time one on one with Tom. I'm glad I had this opportunity. Tom was a very good man. Always positive. Committed to his family, to his career, and he sure was a handy guy. He knew how to get things done. Always helpful and I always had a sense when I was around Tom that he knew what was important in life. He kept his humor up and also kept things in perspective. I've frequently thought of him and always with a warm feeling in my heart. I know he will be missed by many. By Diana, by his children and other family members, but also by a whole lot of other friends and acquaintances whose lives were so positively affected by Tom. My sincere condolences to Diana and to Tom's family. I'm deeply saddened by his passing.

Tom hired me from Denver to the Cape for the Titan program where I became not only his employee but a friend to him and Diane. I will always remember the day we spent working on his charger. Tom was a fine human being, a good man and I am grateful to count him as a friend. Rest In Peace my friend.

Tom and I met in the Air Force shortly after I was assigned to Cape Canaveral Air Force station in the 70s. We have been close friends since. We have shared many tremendous times with work and family. We also shared very trying times when everything seemed to be going wrong. His tenacity to persevere thru adversity whether it be work related or family was an inspiration to me and many others.
We worked Titan, Athena, and Atlas programs together.
He was very respected on the Eastern test range.
Condolences to his wife Dianna and his Children. Tom will be missed by all the lives he has touched.
I Salute you Tom.

Tom will always be remembered as an outstanding husband, father and grandfather. I can say he was always welcoming in his home. Breaking bread and sharing his recipes at all family gathering. Tom was faithful and loved the Lord. I will miss him and hope to see him again in heaven. My deepest heartfelt sympathy to the family and friends who knew him well, this sudden loss has an impact on all who love him.

I am very saddened to hear of Tom’s passing. I enjoyed working with him on the Titan program (I was in Mission Success in Denver and probably talked to him on the phone almost every day working problems). He was a hard worker and very dedicated to ensuring Mission Success and the resolution of problems. My prayers are with his family and close friends.

I was sadden to get the news of the passing of Tom. Lifting prayers up for the family for strength and guidance as they walk through their grief.
Growing up on Pone de Leon and being younger than Tom, I still looked up to him as Susan and Judy;s big brother. Found memories of times at the Kunka's home playing softball in their big backyard and hide-n-seek till our mothers called us in for supper. There was always that excitement when the family received word that Tom was returning back to Macon for a visit.
When Judy and her family invited some of the old neighborhood to visit their home and Tom and his family were able to attend was a delight. We shared laughs, good food, and lots of memories of fun times of days gone by.
Blessing to each of you and yours in the coming months.

Please accept my heartfelt condolences in the loss of Tom. I was so sad to receive the message and as I reflected on our childhood days on Ponce de Leon Ave so many memories came to my mind. We played softball from early mornings till dusk, enjoyed watching the enormous train assembly in the Kunka based. We sat for hours chatting on the front porch and of course road our bikes daily. I so enjoyed the neighborhood reunion a fews back at Judy's and also Mrs Kunka's birthday dinner . Yes , the Kunka Family has planted flowers along the pathway of my life & for the I am thankful.
Love and Blessings to you all, Cheryl Hopkins Meadows

Knew Tom since my Air Force days in the 1970's when he was my mentor and as a friend after that. He, Dona and Diana were always welcoming - Tom had that Southern Hospitality gene. Only Jennifer and Stephanie were there when we first met and I loved it when he added Richard, Christopher and Jessica - what a lovely family. When visiting, I remember Tom taking off at 3 am with his golf clubs saying he had to get to the course early when he actually was off to launch another rocket. Tom and I were on-the-road a lot and he once took me to meet his mother - you talk about Southern Hospitality! She fed us so many wonderful dishes I could hardly move. There was also a fishing trip where Tom, a friend and I almost met our maker together. We were on a lake and the weather changed so suddenly we were caught off-guard, as it does in Florida. The rain poured down so heavily that Tom and I were bailing as fast as we could while his friend drove the boat, but it was the lightning striking all around us that made us fearful in our aluminum boat. We made it back to shore, drank a lot of beer and laughed it off - just another fishing trip! I loved Tom and love all of his family! Harry Davis

My heart was broken when I got the call about Tommy. Even though we seldom seen one another due to miles apart, he was still my cousin. Family I am so sorry. May God be with you all during this time and the weeks ahead. Prayers and love to you all. Cherish the moments you had. Love,
Your cousin Cathy Herron Bloodworth. Psalm 23
