Obituary of Mary T. Benaducci
Artist
Mary was a natural artist with a speciality in crafts
She displayed her work at flea markets and craft fairs
She was creative and inventive and incorporated found objects and treasures she found in nature like shells and rocks and crystals
Dance
Mary started dance classes at the young age of 3
She went on to dance professionally with the Joffrey Ballet in NYC and with a Latin jazz performance group
She eventually opened her own dance studio with a broad variety of specialities: ballet, jazz, modern and choreographed recitals donating process to animal shelters
One of the students she trained went on to become a dancer with the NYC Rockets
Exercise
She managed the NYC Sports Club
Opened her private boutique studio on Staten Island offering a variety of classes: spin, stretch, private classes, and trained to become a yoga instructor
When she moved here to Florida she opened an exercise studio called NY Fitness
Beach
Mary loved the beach and sand and collecting shells and found objects
She craved the sunshine and warmth of Florida and bought a vacation home here in Florida eventually moving here with the love of her life Christopher
Animals
Mary loved animals and at one time had 9 cats all rescue
Mary and Chris have 2 dogs Sandy and Pinky and four cats all rescue they love dearly. Her animals miss her terribly.
She coordinated donations to animal rescue organizations here in Florida with spin marathons at her exercise studio and running marathons
Medical
Mary studied to be an RN and holds an Associate Degree
She recently became a CNA and studied diligently for her professional license
Mary was dedicated to her patients and loved her co workers, she would share her days with us and would go the extra mile to be sure her patients were taken care of
Hundreds of her friends have reached out to her family with memories they shared
Christopher always called Mary his sweet heart. Mary and Christopher just celebrated her 60th birthday.
Mary didn’t run from a fire, she ran straight into it head on and fearless. She was a warrior.
A figher. An angel. We miss her terribly now and forever.
