Obituary of M. Lorraine Reafler

M. Lorraine Reafler, age 96, passed away in Satellite Beach, the morning of July 16th.  She was born July 1, 1924 in Newark, NJ to Sebastiano and Victoria Pietropinto.  She grew up in Belleville, NJ.

 

At 23 years old, she met the love of her life, Robert Henry Reafler.  They married September 27, 1947.  Together, they had three children, Janice, Linda, and Robert.  They enjoyed being in the Air Force and traveling.  Bob and Lorraine settled in Satellite Beach in 1964. 

She enjoyed listening to Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin, playing cards, and Bloody Marys.  She also adored watching John Travolta on the big screen.

 

Lorraine was preceded in death by her loving husband, Bob, her daughter, Linda Groves, and her grandson, Matthew Reafler.  She is survived by her daughter, Janice and Vello Vilgats, her son Robert and Nancy Reafler, her son-in-law, Charlie Groves.  She is also survived by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  Her granddaughters, Lori and Scott Metzler, and Jennifer Franklin, her grandsons, Steven and Kim Vilgats, Charles and Brooke Groves, and Robert Groves.  Her great-granddaughters, Amanda and Mark Trammell, Kaley Metzler and Bobby Holsombach III, Sarah Metzler, Anna Franklin, Brianna Prevatt, Emma Groves, and Lindy Groves.  Her great-grandsons, Joshua Metzler, Ryan Groves, Liam Groves, and Ethan Groves.  She was also blessed to have three great-great grandchildren, Liam, Mark and Addilynn and many nieces and nephews.

 

Lorraine will be remembered as a loving, happy, sassy, full of life and stories, kind-hearted, spunky lady.

Family, friends, and others whose lives Lorraine touched are invited to Las Olas Beach Club, 1215 Hwy A1A, Satellite Beach on Saturday, September 12th, 2020 at 11:30am to celebrate her wonderful life.
