Obituary of Salvatore Joseph Loria, Jr.
Salvatore Joseph (Joe) Loria Jr., of Viera, Florida, passed away on Friday August 21, 2020 at the age of 76.
Joe was born December 7, 1943 in Clarksburg, West Virginia.
He began his adult life through service in the US Army, directly out of high school. There he studied computer sciences and system analysis. This kicked off a successful, long-standing career in the computer programming field which afforded him an opportunity for a comfortable post-work life.
Joe retired to Florida to be close to family. He was a loving father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. A generous man, Joe was highly measured in his resolve, sticking religiously to his exercise routine, while enjoying the Florida weather. Joe’s regimen was consistent, from swimming laps, to the gym, and riding his bike, he took care of his physical and mental needs through exercise. The guitar was another refuge for Joe. He loved to play and sing.
Joe listened intently when he engaged you in conversation. He was always interested in sports banter, and in particular enjoyed watching championship tennis, golf, football, and playoff baseball. But no matter what the topic, sports related or not, he could carry an intelligent, thoughtful conversation.
Joe loved his family, and everyone loved and appreciated Joe. He will be sorely missed.
