Obituary of Keith George Johnson

Keith G Johnson, 74, of Indian Harbour Beach, died Sunday 10/11/20 at home surrounded by his family after a hard fought battle with ATypical Parkinson’s. 

Born July 11, 1946 in Chicago, IL to George and Marjorie ((Holter) Johnson, he was a graduate of Maine West High School and Purdue University’s School of Chemical Engineering. During his career, he received 11 patents for his work in the field of petrochemicals. 

After retiring from Arco Chemical in 1998, he and his wife, Monica, toured the United States in an RV, eventually settling in Indialantic.  Not one to stay retired, he joined Compsys, Inc as marketing director, treasurer and member of the board where his extensive business experience insured a solid foundation for their continued success. 

He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Monica, his daughter, Jennifer and her husband, Jason Lagasca and his grandchildren, Jake and Sofie, who he adored.  He was a loving son, wonderful brother, cousin, nephew and uncle.  

A Memorial service will be held on October 24, 2020 at 1 PM at Ascension Lutheran Church, 1053 Pinetree Drive, Indian Harbour Beach.  Due to COVID restrictions, please call the church to register attendance 321-773-1815.

A Celebration of Life Reception will be held after the service at the Eau Gallie Yacht Club from 2 - 4 pm.
