Obituary of Susan Grace Crissy

The world lost a beloved mother and grandmother, Susan Grace Crissy, on Sunday January 24, 2021.  Susan bravely battled stomach cancer to the very end.  Susan died peacefully in her home in Indialantic, FL surrounded by her daughter, Stephanie, her son and daughter-in-law, Christopher and Alexandra and her husband, John.  Susan was born in Woodhaven, NY on May 20 1956, also a Sunday, to Vincent and Susan Giunta.  She moved to Fort Lauderdale, Florida at the age of 13, graduated from Piper High School and then worked for Town and Country Title. It was there that she met the love of her life, a young real estate investor, John Crissy. 

Susan and John moved to Brevard County in 1980 and together started Crissy Mortgage Corporation where they helped thousands of clients buy, build and refinance homes throughout Brevard County side by side for 35 years.  They celebrated their 41st wedding anniversary on October 20th, 2020.  Susan is survived by her mother Susan Giunta and her brothers Vincent and Guy Giunta.  She was preceded in death by her dearly loved father, Vincent “Inky” Giunta and her brother Brett Giunta.  

While she enjoyed much professional success, her proudest accomplishment was her children, Stephanie and Christopher, and four grandchildren: Jackson and Taylor Grace Rader (age 7 and 2) and James and Olivia Grace Crissy (age 3 and 5).  They will dearly miss their Grandma Sue.  

Friends and family are invited to celebrate Susan’s life at Beachside Funeral Home in Indian Harbor Beach, FL on January 29th at 12 noon. 

Friends wishing to honor Susan are invited to make a donation in her name to the Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa FL, where she received care from many wonderful doctors and nurses.
