Obituary of Harry W. Brantley

Harry W. Brantley USN (RET), passed away peacefully Thursday, February 11, 2021 at home.  Born in Zolfo Springs, Fl on June 21, 1929 to Marcellus and Juanita Brantley, Harry graduated from Wauchula/Hardee County High School and enlisted in the Navy in 1947. He married his beloved Lois on August 4, 1951. Together they enjoyed many travels and he proudly served until his retirement in 1979.

After retiring in Satellite Beach, Florida he went on to pursue bachelor’s and master’s degrees and worked as an instructor and counselor.

Harry and Lois loved attending Floyd B. Parks Reunions, being part of their church community and being great-grandparents to four adoring “Littles”.

Harry was a Friend of Bill since February 15, 1974 and he tried to carry the message of hope to others.

He was predeceased by his devoted wife, Lois last January 2020. He was also preceded by his sons Wayne and Carl.

Harry is survived by his daughters, Pamela Margut (Mathias), Rosemary Brantley, and his son Larry Brantley (Marie).

Harry was a kind and generous PopPop to grandchildren Mary, Michael and Mason.

He is also survived by his sister Myrna Robbins of Melbourne, Fl.

Due to the pandemic a memorial service will be held later.

Interment will be at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery where he will be laid to rest with Lois.
