Obituary of Jane Ellen Thibert-Parramore

Jane (Janie) passed away peacefully Saturday, March 20, 2021 at Holmes Regional Medical Center.  Her husband and daughter were by her side, holding her hand until the very end. She was surrounded by family and friends close by.

She is survived by her husband of 32 years, Wayne Parramore, daughter Melissa Thibert Harrell, son Tim Thibert, grandson Tyler Thibert, sisters Sue DiCesare and Laura Bouchard, brothers Mark White and Joel White, father Robert White and many members of a loving extended family.

She is preceded by her mother Carolyn White and brother Phillip White.

Jane was born May 19, 1962 in Hyannis, Massachusetts. She lived in many states during her early years before finally settling down in sunny Florida in 1988.

Soon after moving to Florida she met the love of her life and best friend Wayne. They married soon after on June 23, 1989 and have been inseparable ever sense. They shared 32 years of marriage together growing even closer through her cancer diagnosis and treatment.

Janie went through many physical traumas throughout her whole life, but had resilience and faith to come back stronger each time.

She worked as an assistant manager at Dollar General and then an Assistant Merchandising Manager at Burdines/Macy’s before being unable to work because of physical disabilities.

While living in Orlando, Janie was an active member of Aloma Baptist Church and played a crucial role in the Celebrate Freedom ministry there. She also volunteered with the weekly coffee kiosk making sure it was decorated pretty and she gave service with a smile.

Janie was an active part of Relay for Life having lost many loved ones to cancer and worked with the Sea Turtle Preservation Society in Indialantic. She helped with beach clean up efforts and actively gave to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Janie was witty, compassionate, generous, and kind. She took extraordinary measures to care for anyone in need.

Janie cherished time with her family and friends. She enjoyed crafting, walks on the beach, gardening, writing and journaling, and loved the Lord. She had a “wicked” sense of humor and kept us laughing right up till the very end. Jane, (Janie) was deeply loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Many thanks go out to Dr. Henning, Dr. Mady, and the doctors and staff of Moffit Cancer Center in Tampa and Holmes Regional Medical Center
