Lucille Frances Torelli
Lucille Frances Torelli, 98, passed away unexpectedly on Good Friday, April 2, 2021, in Melbourne, FL, surrounded by her children and their spouses. She was born on May 21, 1922, in Yonkers, NY. She was predeceased by her husband of 50 years, Nicholas Marcus Torelli, Sr., who died November 8, 1998, 6 days shy of 89. Their families met when she was a child and they were married on June 26, 1948.
She is survived by her three children: Margaretmary “Mimi” Torelli Weidert (Robert M. "Bob" Weidert) of Indian Harbour Beach, FL, Nicholas M. Torelli, Jr., (Donna) of Bradenton, FL, Joseph Torelli (Janna) of Hampton, NH; four grand-children: Alexander J. Torelli of Lake Worth, FL, Kathryn C. Torelli (David Robinson) of Richmond, VA, Marta C. Torelli who attends Colby College, Waterville, ME, and Julianna R. Torelli who attends the University of Vermont in Burlington; and four great-grandchildren: Tyler, Vivianna, Olivia and Cassia.
She is also survived by niece Lee Ann (Mike) Scott and family: Michelle (Kevin) Fuller and Kenneth Scott; nephew George (Nancy) Leveille and family: Kevin (Chelsea) Leveille and Mike Leveille; nephew Mike (Carol) Torelli and family: Laura and Mike IV; Patricia "Pat" (Dennis) Boyle and family: Melissa (David) Portnoy and Conor; and nephew Dave (Diane) Torelli and family: Dan and Lisa (Thomas) Sauer and several great-nieces and nephews.
During World War II, Lucille enlisted in the U.S. Navy and was in the 7th Regiment of the WAVES. She served in supply and finance positions in the Washington, DC, area. After the War, she worked in the office of a paper box company in Uncasville, CT. In 1948, she began her most cherished career as wife and mother, in which she excelled.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, April 20, 2021, at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church, Indialantic, FL, at 10:30 am. The Mass will be preceded by a Visitation at 10:00 am and Rosary at 10:15 am. She will be buried at a later date in the family plot at Holy Cross Cemetery outside of Philadelphia with her beloved husband “Nic”.
