Obituary of Patricia A Parmarter

Patricia Ann Parmarter of Indian Harbour Beach, FL, passed away on May 10, 2021.  Born in Erie, PA in 1941, Patricia married Samuel Parmarter Sr of North East, PA in June 1966.  Together they traveled across the country while Samuel served in the US Army.  They called Albuquerque, NM, Fitchburg, MA, and Honolulu, HI home before finally arriving at Samuel’s final posting at Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, AL.  The family would relocate to Satellite Beach, FL in 1984.

Patricia broke into the male dominated field of construction in the 1970’s.  She started in sales for a window and carpet supplier before eventually rising to manager.  Typically in meetings, she was the only woman in the male dominated field, but her drive and strong personality never let outdated attitudes interfere with her success.  Patricia continued excelling in the field until retiring in 1997.  

Patricia was 1982 Graduate of Athens State College where she majored in Business.  She managed to complete her education while working full time and supporting her family.

Patricia loved saltwater fishing, home cooking, and playing bingo.  She will also be remembered as a loving aunt, dedicated wife, and supportive mother. 

Pat was predeceased by husband Samuel Parmarter Sr; her parents, Josephine and Edmund Cieslak; and sister, Mariann Batten. She is survived by her son, Samuel Parmarter Jr. and his wife Christina of Rockledge, FL; her sister, Cecilia Burniston; and her brother, Joseph Cieslak.

A memorial gathering and visitation will be held at Beach Funeral Home in Indian Harbour Beach on May 21 from 12:00 - 2:00 pm.
