Obituary of Patricia Walls

Patricia (Pat) Walls, age 78, passed away from an extended illness on May 12, 2021, at Holmes Regional Medical center, where she retired from after 24 years of service.

She was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin in 1942 during the great depression. She spent her early years living in St. Joseph’s Orphanage with two of her brothers due to a financial hardship with the family. Her parents were only allowed to visit on the weekends and were always there.

At age 8 her family was reunited and lived together in Milwaukee for many years. She moved to Melbourne in 1966, where she raised her children, acquired some very close friends, and started her career.

In her spare time, Pat enjoyed playing bingo as well as cards with her friends and family. She was a great support system for her family and always willing to lend an ear.

Pat is survived by her brother Jim Trowbridge, her children Jeff Darby, Dawn Santamaria, and Kelly Rutter; grandchildren Scotty, Jeffrey, Montana, Garrett, Jason, and Alex; as well as many nieces, nephews, and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents Howard and Edna Trowbridge, brothers Jack and Tom, and son Scotty Darby.

A celebration of life will be held at Beach Funeral Homes, located at 4999 N. Wickham rd Melbourne, FL 32904, at 4 pm with a service following at 5 pm.
