My condolences to Lois’s family. The news of her passing brought me great sadness. My first memory of Lois was when I went to HNJ School to speak with her before I decided to enroll my children. I came prepared with questions and Lois answered all of them exactly as I would have wanted. I remember thinking she was very knowledgeable and had great compassion. All four of my children graduated from HNJ and I believe in my heart they were safe, loved, and received an outstanding education. Enrolling them was one of the best decisions I ever made. Lois was a phenominal principal and educator. I had many opportunities to work with Lois as a parent volunteer and later as an employee. I was always impressed with her dedication to education. She taught me many things over the years but mostly the importance of family. When my oldest daughter went off to college and was struggling that first year, I was always asking Lois for time off. Once I told her I felt bad about all the time off and she told me life was a juggling act and I was never to drop the family ball. I also remember her saying she was doing God’s work. Now that God has called her home I am sure He will say well done good and faithful servant. Matthew 25:23 I am grateful to have known Lois. She was not just the principal of my children’s school or my boss, she was also a friend. Paula Reilova
