Obituary of Mary Santana Lawrence

On July 23, 2021, Mary took her final breath and went to be with Jesus. The sun rose and the world welcomed Mary on December 30, 1927, a day the Earth became a little brighter. She has gone to heaven to be with her brothers and sisters, Luis, Mario, ‘Peggy’ Esperanza, Amada, Ophelia, Hilda, and Emelina and her loving parents, Candida Perez, and Raymond Santana. Growing up in Miami, Fl, Mary, and her sisters were known as the “Santana Sisters” amongst friends in their community. Mary loved everyone and everyone loved her with her fun-loving and playful spirit.  She lived a full and warm life, filled with joy, kindness, and an unconditional love for her family and friends.

Mary was a hard worker who established a proficient career as a cost accountant for 40 years in Miami, Fl. She married Christopher Lawrence and together they were blessed with their daughter, Linda Lou Lawrence. Family was everything to Mary, helping to raise her four grandchildren, teaching them love, responsibility, family values, and her famous Cuban meals. She enjoyed dancing, gardening, reading, cooking, and most of all, being around her family. She will be fondly remembered and sorely missed.

Mary is survived by her daughter, Linda, and her grandchildren, Jeff, Christopher, Christina, and Ava “Katie”.

Private memorial will be held.
