Obituary of Mary Florence Harnden

Mary Florence Eddie Harnden, was called to Heaven on February 15, 2022 at the age of 84.

Mary is predeceased by her parents, Florence and George Eddie, brother George, and husband of 37 years, Charles W. Harnden, Sr.

She is lovingly remembered by her three children: Charles Harnden (Mavis), Elizabeth Graham (Richard), Christopher Harnden (Karin), her brother, Paul Eddie, and sister, Elizabeth Malone, twelve grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.

Mary was born in Louisville, Ky.  She grew up in Fort Lauderdale where she lived for over seventy years.  Mary graduated from Ft. Lauderdale High School.  She attended Florida Southern College and graduated from the University of Miami with a degree in accounting.  She enjoyed traveling, fishing, flower arranging, working-out, and time with her prayer group.  Mary is fondly remembered as “Toots” and “Nan,” and will be deeply missed.  

Services will be held at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Community in Indialantic, FL on Friday February 25, 2022 at 11:00 a.m.; reception to follow.

Mary will be laid to rest next to her husband on Wednesday, March 2, at 10:30 a.m. at Lauderdale Memorial Park.
