I met Sephia back in 1983. I was in college, rooming with her son Chris, and was accompanying Chris on a weekend visit home. After just a few minutes with her and Col. Royer, it became clear to me what the source of Chris's integrity, character, and principled constitution was. Obviously those traits ran throughout the Royer family, and getting to know her other two sons -- Anthony and Aaron -- during those years drove that truth home even further. Sephia has left quite a legacy in the form of three extraordinary sons, and so I celebrate the life she led, and I send condolences to Chris, Anthony, Aaron, Col. Royer, and everyone else in the extended Royer family.
