Obituary of George Edward Megown

In loving memory of George Edward Megown, the family is saddened to announce his passing on January 16, 2023. George was born June 14, 1933, in Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania. He was married for 59 years to the love of his life Kathleen Megown, from New York City, NY and together they had two sons and two daughters. He was a Korean War Veteran, Business Agent for Local Union 47/449, and an active member of Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church for over 20 years where he served as a Eucharist Minister, volunteered at Meals on Wheels and was always the first at helping anyone in our community. George is survived by beloved wife Kathleen Megown of 59 years, sons Mike and Jeff; daughter Michelle Raich, deceased daughter Kay Dala; grandchildren, Rachel Harrison, Daniel Megown, Emma, Julia and Grace Raich, Zoey Megown and deceased granddaughter Quinn Dala. A life so beautifully lived deserves to be beautifully remembered. Services will be held January 20th at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church, 3050 N HWY A1A, Indialantic, FL 32903. Visitation will begin at 12:30 PM and Mass will be at 1:00 PM. Celebration of Life to follow at the Palm Lake Estates Club House, 1000 Fell Rd, West Melbourne, FL 32904.
