Obituary of Anthony George Mascolino Jr.
We regretfully announce the passing of Anthony “Buzzy” “Tony” George Mascolino, Jr., who lost his battle to Cancer on Sunday, January 22, 2023. Tony was 63 when he passed at his home surrounded by his family.
Tony (Buzzy) is survived by his wife of 46 years, Mary Lou, daughter, Tonya (son-in-law Michael Sias), and grandson, Mason, all of Melbourne, FL, as well as his "sister-wife" (his personal joke) Renee DelMoral, and foster daughter, Jessica MacJarrett, both of North Carolina. In addition to many cousins, nieces, nephews, and a plethora of family and friends from Poughkeepsie, New York, Asheville, North Carolina, and all over Brevard County, Florida. Tony is at peace and can now be with his parents, Anthony Sr. and Margaret Mascolino, his uncle, Michael Fusaro, and many other relatives and friends.
Tony (Buzzy) grew up in Poughkeepsie, New York where he attended Poughkeepsie High School (PHS). This is where he met the love of his life, Mary Lou. In 1976, they were married and had Tonya. Aside from PHS, Tony attended Dutchess Community College, also in Poughkeepsie. Although he spent most of his life working as a roofer, in 2015, the High School sweethearts decided to open a flower shop in Melbourne, FL. Tony was extremely passionate about flowers. Especially about how beautifully his wife arranged them. He would tell everyone about how proud he was of her. Eventually, he even did a little designing himself! Tony was a member of his local Chamber of Commerce, and the BRG Group.
One of his favorite things to do in his spare time was playing golf with friends and especially enjoyed his Monday league!! He played pool for fun and was on several pool teams in Palm Bay. He was also an avid Fantasy Football player and a 2-time Fantasy Football Champion.
Tony was a loving husband, caring father and grandfather, and a loyal friend. His bright blue eyes lit up a room. A life so wonderfully lived deserves to be wonderfully remembered.
