Pam has been one of my dearest friends. Maybe we didn’t get together much but she was always in my thoughts. I met her when she became my store manager. She became my friend about a minute and a half later. Her personality was effervescent, never negative always looking for the silver lining. She lead her team, always bringing them up to their potential, never micromanaging or stifling their personalities.
She had one of the most unique styles I know. We all could copy that more often. Although…. There was this one time, when the big bosses were in town, and in her haste to get ready, she wore one black and one navy blue shoe. I know it wasn’t intentional but she made a lasting impression on all of us that day.
Now that she is no longer here with us physically she will always be with me in my heart.

I was privileged to know and love Ms. Gilbert AKA Pam…our Walgreens store was like a family… Pam’s humor was dry but funny… l will always cherish knowing and loving Pam.. Keeley your mommy was so proud of you and always spoke of you with a smile.

She was my supervisor when I worked for Walgreens and I started there at 15 years old in 1990. She was so nice to me and used to give me a ride home at night sometimes if my car was broke down. I loved her so much and I learned a lot from her as a young girl and I looked up to her. She used to talk about her daughter all the time. She will truly be missed.

I'm speechless, believe it or not. Ms.Gilbert was like a second mom to me. Without a doubt the best manager I have ever worked for (sorry Laurie, lol). My best memory was stealing the infamous Mr. Peanut keychain, taking pictures of it on the stove and in other random places while holding it hostage. Oh she did love that keychain. My gosh was she funny! I know she will be watching over us all. And Keeley, I hope you know that she is so proud of you, she always has been!! <3

Mom,
I know how proud you are of keeley watching her strength as she is for filling your final wishes while finding comfort in the fact that you of course, we’re right, and know her so well to know exactly what she would need in your absence. If that doesn’t describe the kind of mother you are, I really don’t know what would.
You had the ability to make an entire room break out in laughter, even if you were standing outside of a sliding glass door and not even in it, your presence was always known.
During keeley and I’s late night phone calls, or Henry calling me to insist you and I talk, I was able to have so many amazing conversations, life advice, laughs, and tears with you. You truly are one of a kind women.
As promised in our last conversation (thanks to Henry) I will continue to make sure keeley gets spoiled, loved, and to put her right back in her place if need be. I will work with her every step of the way through this next part of her life. I will help her keep your spirit and memory alive through Henry and piper. They will know who their grams is.
Most of all, Thank you. Thank you for bringing such an amazing person into this world and giving her all of your strength, courage, sass, stubbornness, and humor and creating my best friend. Thank you for welcoming my family into yours with warm open arms and always being there when needed to vent or get a third opinion (even when I didn’t ask)
You will be missed by so many.

I could go on for days about the times Pam and I worked together and about how she set up me and my wife ( Jamie ) of 29 years however, we all know how such a great lady she was.
Did you know she is one of the very few women Managers at Walgreens. She put a huge crack in that glass ceiling so others could break through it.
That’s her work legacy. A trail blazer and a hard working manager .
Her non work legacy. She was a great mother, grandmother and one hell of a friend.
I’ll miss you Pammie G.
