Obituary of Thelma Vogel

It is with  great sorrow, the Vogel, Keating and Pearson families announce the passing of Thelma Jane Vogel on March 4, 2023. She was a kind, caring and generous, wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

Thelma was born on August 10, 1932 to Thomas and Doretta Sanders in South Amboy, New Jersey. 

She is predeceased by her sister Ellen, her two bothers Thomas and Donald, her first husband John F. Keating and second husband John Sabo.

Thelma was a graduate of Hoffman High School and then attended and graduated from business college in Perth Amboy, New Jersey

She is survived by her husband Alfred Vogel, and her children, John Keating(Andrew Tilley), Jim Keating and Janet Pearson (Jeff Pearson).  Thelma has 3 grandchildren, Michelle Fichter,(Kenney Fichter),Dallas Galbraith(Andrew Galbraith) and Samantha Pearson(fiancé Wesley Paryag) and was blessed by 3 great-grandchildren, Grayson, Remi and Charlotte.

Thelma worked as a bookkeeper, title insurance agent and  teachers assistant at Eau Gallie High School for the exceptional education program.  Sharing her time and talents with her students brought her great joy.

Known as MomMom to all, she shared her home, heart, and smile with everyone she met.  She will be missed by her many “adopted” children.

Thelma and Al are long time parishioners of Trinity Wellsprings Church.  Services will be held at the church at 638 S. Patrick Drive, Satellite Beach, Florida 32937, on Thursday March 9^th at 1pm.
