Obituary of George Thomas Dowling

George T. Dowling died peacefully at the age of 83 on Sunday, October 9, 2011 with his family around him. He served 21 years in the Air Force where he received the Air Medal. After retiring as a Major, George joined the Apollo Space Program as a Consulting Pilot for the Lunar Module. George was married to Colleen McGinty for 56 years and has 4 children and 9 grandchildren. Services will take place at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church, 10am visitation, 11am Funeral Mass. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Holy Name of Jesus Parrish for 'Hearts Out to Haiti', 3050 N. Hwy. A1A, Indialantic, FL 32903.
