Obituary of Margaret Popham

Margaret Mary (Ra) Popham (1948-2011) Long-time Indialantic resident Margaret "Ra" Popham took her last breath on Monday, November 7, 2011 after a difficult battle with lung cancer. Ra; born in Jersey City, New Jersey on February 4, 1948; relocated with her family to Indialantic in 1985. A long-time Indialantic resident, Ra was active within the Florida Youth Soccer and Brevard Youth Soccer programs; even holding the position of District Commissioner for several years and a co-owner of Sarah Care of Melbourne. Ra filled her free time, acting as a Guardian Ad Litem and enjoying time with her friends and family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Larry, and her parents, Matthew and Margaret Connahan. She is survived by her brothers & sisters: Janice, Patt, Matthew and Kevin; her children: Matthew and Xiao Yan Connahan, Eric and Jennifer Popham, Timothy Popham and Angela Cobb, Maggie Mann, Grace Stewart and Bernadette Stewart; seven grandchildren: Shannon, Christian, Bridget, Michaela, Olivia, Savannah and Matthew; as well as many loving nieces, nephews, other family and many "friend-family" members. A viewing is scheduled for Monday, November 14, 2011 from 5:00 - 8:00 pm at Beach Funeral Home, 1689 South Patrick Drive, Indian Harbour Beach, FL 32937. All are invited to a Memorial Service set for Tuesday, November 15, 2011 at 12:00 pm at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church, 3050 North Highway A1A, Indialantic, FL 32903.
