Obituary of Paul T Brimer

Paul Tinsley Brimer, 89 Satellite Beach, Florida Paul Tinsley Brimer was a 47 year resident of Satellite Beach. He was born on June 17, 1922 in Bowling Green Missouri. Paul volunteered to serve his country in WWII with the U.S. Navy as a builder of airplane runways in the Pacific theater. Several of the runways he helped to build became major air-war launching-points for helping to bring the war with Japan to a successful ending. Upon conclusion of the war, Paul met and married his wife Eleanor and together they have enjoyed a 67 year marriage. Paul was a highly skilled accountant and re-located from Memphis, Tennessee in 1964 to eventually become Director of Finance for the Brevard County School Board until retiring at age 62. He was a very active community volunteer in Satellite Beach serving as a Satellite Beach Little League coach, treasurer of the Satellite Beach Little League, Treasurer of Satellite Beach Cub Scout Pack 301, and treasurer and a founding board member of the Satellite Beach Police Athletic League. Paul also served as a Deacon in East Minister Presbyterian Church and was a state-wide volunteer in the AARP, and a member of the Shiners. Paul is survived by his wife Eleanor, daughter Janet Leppert, her husband Gary Leppert, son Mark Brimer, and his wife Leslee Brimer. He is also survived by grandchildren; Allison Yacovella, Meredith Lopez-Merlos, Todd Leppert, Eric Brimer, Chris Brimer and 5 great-grand children. A brief service will be held at Beach Funeral home on November 17, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. followed by a graveside service at Florida Memorial Gardens. The family requests that donations in celebration of Paul's life may be made to the Shiners of America.
