I was Tommy's neighbor growing up in Massapequa. I will always think of him as the cute little boy he was, my friend Christine's kid brother, wearing a striped T shirt and a big smile with missing teeth. I remember playing baseball in the street with him and our other neighbor's kid brother. Those were the days, and that is how I will keep remembering him. My heart goes out to you, Christine and family, and you are all in my prayers.

To the Porcella family; please accept my heartfelt sympathy in the loss of your son/brother. Unfotunately Tom was in my life only a short time but even in illness he was quite a character. He loved telling his life stories and I enjoyed hearing them. Tom was a kind soul who loved to please. He always shared his smarties and pistachio nuts with me :). His family at the nursing center were all sad to hear of his passing. I hope you can all find solace in that he is no longer suffering and is at peace. I will miss his phone calls. Rest in peace my friend, Dorie

I have many found memories of Tom as a great friend during my childhood. We were best of friends for many years and enjoyed many great experiences as we grew up on Long Island. I still smile when I think of the crazy things Tom and I did and he was a huge influence in my life. We drifted apart as we grew older and went separate ways but I will always hold close the many great memories Tom and I shared. Mary, you and your family are in my prayers and know that Tom was a great person and is in peace with God now. John
