Obituary of Agostino Rotondo

Agostino Rotondo, age 82, of Indialantic, FL, passed away peacefully on March 14, 2012. He was the eldest son born of 5 children to the Rotondo family of Frozinone Veroli, Italy. Agostino was a police officer in Sicily, Italy for 3 years before marrying and moving to the states. Arriving in New York in 1955, he worked construction for 23 years before moving to sunny Florida in 1978 where he worked for 16 years with the Brevard County School Board. Agostino had a great love for food and his birds Dina and Micheal. He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Anna Marcoccia Rotondo, his brother Giovanni Rotondo of Italy, 3 sisters, Fidina Riducci of Italy, Maria Cervi of New Hyde Park, NY and Ermima Scarsella of Indialantic, Florida. Also a devoted brother-in-law and a very much loved "Uncle Augie" to his 17 nieces and nephews and 29 great nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Monday March 19, 2012 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Beach Funeral Home, 1689 S. Patrick Drive, Indian Harbour Beach, FL. A funeral mass will be Tuesday, March 20, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church, 3050 N. Hwy A1A, Indialantic, FL. Burial will follow at Florida Memorial Gardens in Rockledge.
