Obituary of Elizabeth M McLean

It is with great sorrow to announce the passing of Elizabeth Schell McLean, 101. She passed away peacefully on May 12, 2012, surrounded by the love and support of her family. Liz was born on February 21, 1911 in New Lebanon, NY, the daughter of William and Catherine Schell, one of 9 siblings. She settled in Melbourne, Florida in 1978, after retiring from the State of NY. She is survived by her devoted daughters, Jane Williams of Satellite Beach, FL and Dorothy Marcus of Albany, NY; her sisters, Agnes Sweeney, Albany, NY and Helen Bennet, Dunedin, FL; and brother, William Schell, New Lebanon, NE; two grandchildren, Christina (Bruce) Triolo of Satellite Beach, FL, Michael Williams of Melbourne, FL; 3 great-grandchildren, Jennifer (Steve) Banta, Daniel (Laura) Triolo and Marshall Williams and 5 great, great-grandchildren. Elizabeth lived her long life with compassion, devotion, generosity and a great sense of humor and will be remembered by many as a true friend. A celebration of Elizabeth's life will be held in June, with final resting place in New Lebanon, NY.
