Obituary of Allan Roland Gilbert

Allan Roland Gilbert, of Indian Harbour Beach, FL, age 80, born 15 March 1932 in Cornville, Maine, passed away on Wednesday, June 13th 2012. He was a graduate of Old Orchard Beach High, class of '50. He retired after 24 years in the US Army attaining the rank of Master Sergeant in the field of communications. Tours of combat duty include Vietnam. He also retired in 1997 from Harris Corporation after 20 years. He was a life member of the Melbourne Elks and the V.F.W. Allan is survived by his wife Priscilla of 59 years, 4 sons Dennis (Nancy), Thomas (Katharine), Kenneth (Susan), James (Luz), 5 grandchildren Miranda, Devonne, Gene, Jennifer, James Allan and 5 great grandchildren and 2 brothers Carl and G. John A celebration of his life will be held Monday, June 18th at Beach Funeral Home, 1689 S. Patrick Drive, I.H.B. FL., the viewing will be held from 10am to 11am followed by a service at 11am.
