I am so very sorry for the family of Pat. I was not able to attend the viewing/Mass as I have been out of town from 7/11-8/6. I was in the church play, The Music Man with Pat. I was the mayor's wife and she was one of my "Pick-a-Little" ladies. We had so much fun! She had a beautiful voice. I am sure she is singing with the angels!

My sincerest condolences to the family. Daniel 12:2 tells us "there will be many of those asleep in the ground of dust who will wake up, these to indefinitely lasting life." Soon all our loved ones will be resurrected to live in a new paradise earth where death will be no more, neither will pain and suffering. What a wonderful day that will be.

Our deepest condolences, thoughts and Prayers are with your whole Family. Pat was a second Mom to me for many years. I hesitated to write her first name; for my entire childhood had always referred to Pat and Artie as Mr. and Mrs. Draeger; it was a common matter of respect taught to me. I still have the 18th Birthday card wherein she signed their first names,to let me know it was Time for me to use them. Still took me a while. There are more than a few school reports that would have been lacking, had it not been for the "special permission" for me to use the beautiful Encyclopedias at their dining room table. Years later, working for the Library, every time I pulled out The World Book or Brittanica to assist someone, I thought of them Both. And the cookies and milk Pat brought to me in cut glass and a china plate. In later days we also shared a libation or two with my Mom. So many wonderful memories I will hold forever. Pat's natural warmth, beauty and grace will never be forgotten. With Deepest Sympathy Nancy Kennedy and Family.

My thoughts are with your family in this difficult time. "Aunt Draeger" took very good care of her adopted nieces and nephews in the Nellis family. When I was a boy, she tipped me well when I served "libations" at the Carman/Spencer Ave bridge games so that I could buy stamps for my collection. And I have her to thank for exposing me to amateur radio (and calls to Panama to Hank and Evelyn), a hobby I still enjoy today. Additionally, she helped me get my first real high school job working in the kitchen at South Nassau. She touched many lives, including my own, in her special way. God is lucky to have her now. Sincerely, Dan Velez and family.
