Obituary of Robert M Stewart

Robert M. Stewart, 76, of Melbourne, FL passed away on Wednesday, August 1, 2012. He was born on June 12, 1936 in the Bronx, NY to the late Valentine and Charlotte Stewart. Bob enjoyed many years residing on Long Island, New York and has been a resident of Brevard County for 25 years. An avid boater and member of Ascension Catholic Church, he worked in the automotive industry for 40 years and later was an Associate for Sears. Bob was predeceased by 3 brothers and a sister. He is survived by his beloved wife; Elaine, children; Theresa (David) Patterson, and Robert (Donna)Stewart, Jr., siblings; Timothy Stewart, and Angela (Frank) Tartaglia, grandchildren; Linda (Kenneth) Jernigan, Crystal (Kohl) Witmer, and Justin (Margaret) Verde, 3 great-grandchildren and 2 on the way. Visitation will be held at Beach Funeral Homes - West, Melbourne/Suntree on Sunday, August 5, 2012 from 1-4pm and on Monday, August 6, 2012 from 8-10:30am. Mass of Christian Burial will follow Monday's visitation at 11:30am at Ascension Catholic Church in Melbourne. Entombment will immediately follow at Florida Memorial Gardens, Rockledge. In addition to flowers, donations may be made in Bob's name to the America Heart Association.
