Obituary of Patricia Ann Markward

Patricia Ann Markward, beloved wife and mother, was born on September 24, 1934 in South Bend, Indiana to the late William and Betty Ford. Patricia departed this life on Friday, August 31, 2012 at home in Melbourne Beach, Florida. Patricia Ann married Harold Markward in 1952. They celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on August 9, 2012. They had 5 children; Robert, who preceded her death; Cynthia (Ray) Johnson of LaPorte, Indiana; Judith (Philip) Palmer of La Junta, Colorado; Steven (Sue) Markward of Holland, Ohio; and James (Donna) Markward of Navada City, California as well as 10 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Patricia enjoyed working with her husband Harold in various business ventures. After retirement, she worked on the home owners association board at their home in Melbourne Beach, Florida, where they retired in 1997. She was passionate about politics. A memorial service will be held in Niles, Michigan in September 2012.
