It is with great grief that we give up our loved ones to death. Jesus gave way to tears when his friend Lazarus died. (John 11:35) You know Jesus knew better then any of us about the resurrection, yet he was overcome with grief. Jehovah said he is near to those who are broken hearted and those crushed in spirit. (Ps, 34:18) What a wonderful gift we have been given, to have the hope of seeing our loved ones again.

Tom and I are so very sorry to hear of Dumont's passing. We absolutely love our home and every time I greet guests at our front door, I think of Dumont himself carefully laying each brick. He and Lance worked very hard to make our home, as Lance said, "Mansion Quality." Yes, when we sit out by our pool at night, we totally agree. The world is certainly a more beautiful place because Dumont was here.

I was privileged to only recently meet Dumont through the marriage of his daughter to my brother, John. A few years ago, I had dinner with him and his lovely wife, Sarah at Linda & John’s home. Dumont was a man full of life, a man’s man. He was a racer, a builder, a pioneer, an entrepreneur as well as a great father and husband. He was a man who dreamed big and had the courage and drive to make things happen. I am better off to have known him and this community is weaker without him. Heavenly Father, welcome this man into your keeping until we can all join with him. With our deepest sympathy, Mark & Carla Palmisano

Heartfelt condolences to Sarah and the whole family. I enjoyed many a discussion and stories about NASCAR with Dumont at Satellite Bait and Tackle over the years. I use to deliver mail to Lance when he had his auto shop and of course spent many trips to Daytona with Jack. Dumont was a good man and will be dearly missed.

We were saddened to hear the news of Dumont's passing. Our prayers and sympathy go out to Sarah and family and know they will always have the fond memories of Dumont and the legacy he leaves behind. When we heard the sad news we were watching FOX News doing a segment at the NASCAR Hall of Fame in Charlotte, NC. The were featuring Car 43 which had a very close connection to Dumont. We thought it a timely presentation and made us remember some of the stories Dumont had related to us about his past racing exploits. Everyone who knew him liked him and enjoyed his company. He will be missed by all. God speed Sarah you are in our prayers.
