Obituary of Barbara Gray Cobb

Barbara Gray Cobb from Satellite Beach ("don'tcha know me?") passed on October 25th, 2012, at 80 years of age. Bobbie, as she was known, was from Calvert County, MD, but spent her life journeying the country with her husband, Col. Carter Cobb, and her children, Anne, Greg, Drew and Kirsten. Her grandchildren, Logan, Carter, Travis, and Texas joined the journey along the way. The inner circle was beautifully completed with Greg's wife Katherine and Drew's partner, Victor. Bobbie was the quintessential matriarch, not only to her own children and family, but to an extended family of beloved friends, animals and any life in need. She reveled in family gatherings and turned such moments into celebrations, all the while caring for Carter who lived for 23 years at home with ALS. Bobbie leaves a legacy of love and joy for all those who knew and loved her. A celebration of her legacy will be held at Beach Funeral Home, 1689 S. Patrick Dr, Indian Harbour Beach, FL, 32937, on 10/31 from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. and will continue at PAFB South Chapel, 84 Harrier St., Satellite Beach, FL, 32937 on Thursday, 11/1 at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, Bobbie would like donations to go to her fellow cancer battlers, M.D. Anderson Center of Houston, TX and Orlando, FL.
