Obituary of Carolyn L Carlsen

Carolyn L. Carlsen, 78, of Satellite Beach, passed away on Monday, December 10, 2012 surrounded by her family. She was born on October 10, 1934 in Brooklyn, NY to Henry and Marie Michaels. Carolyn and her family have resided in Satellite Beach for the past 50 years and have been the owners of Carlsen's Trophy Shop since 1974. Carolyn was predeceased by her daughter, Christine in 2002. Survivors include her beloved husband, Alfred; children, Alfie, Arlene, K.C. and Hank (Melissa); and grandchildren, Ben, Nick, Matthew, Halle, and Michael. A memorial service will be held at 1 pm on Saturday, December 15, 2012 at Eastminster Presbyterian Church, Indialantic. On Sunday, December 16, 2012, a celebration of Carolyn's life "Carlsen style" will be held at Pelican Beach Park, Satellite Beach, at 1 pm. Her love for her community reached out to Serene Harbour (Domestic Violence Center), PAL of Satellite Beach, Space Coast Early Intervention Center and Promise of Brevard. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Carolyn's memory to any of the above mentioned organizations. The Carlsen family gives special thanks to Theresa and Carolyn from VITAS Hospice.
