Obituary of Anne B Durko

ANNE B. DURKO, 95, passed on to her Lord December 14, 2012. Born 1917 in Slovan, Pa., daughter of Cecylia and Walenty Brzeski, she was the last of 7 sisters and one brother. She had been a Bookkeeper/assistant manager at Petrucci's Market in Burgettstown, Pa. until retirement, when she relocated to Indialantic, Fl. She was member of the Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church, for 35 yrs. and volunteered for 25 yrs. at the HNJ gift shop, various church ministries, and was an active member of the Women's Guild. She gave much of her time and energy at her Condo Complex, serving on the board and as the volunteer bookkeeper for 22 yrs. She was preceded in death, by her husband Joseph, and son Raymond. She is survived by her son James Durko and his wife Susan, of McMurray, Pa. and daughter Cecelia Burrows and her husband Carl, Indialantic, Fl. Three granddaughters, Heather Lane and her husband James, Erin Morton and her husband Peck all of Atlanta, Ga, Beth Wendt and husband Jim of Canonsburg,Pa. and a step-granddaughter, Melanie Burrows and Todd of Pittsburgh, Pa. She has been blessed with five great grandchildren and three step-great grandchildren. She will be sadly missed by many. A Funeral mass will be held 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 18, 2012 at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church, Indialantic, Fl. She will be laid to rest alongside her husband and son at Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery in Burgettstown, PA. Donations can be sent to St. Vincent de Paul Society, Holy Name of Jesus, 3050 N.
