Obituary of Timothy Charles Knauff
Timothy Charles Knauff, 60, of Rockledge, FL, passed away on Jan. 11, 2013. Tim was born on Nov. 19, 1952 in Winfield, KS to the late Arthur and Rosemary Knauff.
He was a Cartographic Engineer who worked for the space industry. Tim loved to play his guitar, and was a patient teacher to young people. He was a graduate of the University of Kansas, where he majored in Geography and Cartography. Following graduation, he joined Lockheed Electronics and worked at the Johnson Space Center in Houston, relocating to the Space Coast area of Florida in 1983 to work at the Kennedy Space Center in Cape Canaveral. His engineering and scientific work involved cartographic satellite imagery.
Tim was predeceased by his nephew Arthur Knauff of Kansas City, MO, his uncle and aunt Clifford and Ruth Demieville, and grandmother Varah Cuthbertson, all of Winfield.
He is survived by his brother, Thomas E. Knauff and his wife Janet of Chicago, IL, nephew Theodore Knauff, also of Chicago, and nieces Mary Knauff of Kansas City, KS and Grace Knauff of Lenexa, KS.
