Wanda Magdalena Ross, nee: Wierzbowski, age 81, of Indian Harbour Beach, Florida, devoted mother, grandmother, aunt and friend, went to be with our Lord on Sunday, February 17, 2013. Wanda was born on June 13, 1931 in Brooklyn, New York to Walter and Julia Wierzbowski. Wanda, born Magdalena Wanda Wierzbowski, was the youngest of four siblings. Wanda is preceded in death by her husband Joseph Robert Ross. Wanda and Joe moved from Congers, New York to Indialantic, Florida in 1975. Joe passed away in 1983, and Wanda transitioned her career from banking at First Federal of Osceola in Indian Harbour Beach, to retail sales. Wanda was most notably recognized for her many years of service at Burdine's in the Melbourne Square Mall. Wanda specialized in domestics and made many friends and loyal customers through her loving personality and through her knowledge of the bedding industry. Wanda absolutely loved selling and meeting new friends. She especially loved children and making children laugh. Wanda would entertain customers' children while their parents shopped!! She was recognized by many people after she retired in 2005. Wanda is survived by her two sons - Joseph Charles Ross of Indian Harbour Beach, Florida, who has been her caretaker since 2010, and James Allan Ross of Anderson, South Carolina and James' family (wife Karen M. Ross and their son Garrett - Wanda's beloved grandson), her nieces Patricia Denman, Daria Landar, Victoria Tabin, and nephews John Mamarella, Robert Mamarella, Robert Mountford and William Ross Fridl. Wanda is also survived by many friends, including her most amazing friend for almost four decades, Julieta MacDougall of Indian Harbour Beach, Florida. Wanda loved her family, loved her friends, loved her flowers and plants, loved watching the manatees, fish and birds in the canal in her back yard from her chair on the patio... but most of all, Wanda loved her grandson Garrett and the relationship they shared...a wonderful bond that can never be broken, not even by death.
