Obituary of Grace S Edwards

Grace Edwards, 92, of Cocoa, FL, formerly of Palenville, NY, died peacefully on Sunday, February 17, 2013. Grace was born in Athol, MA on October 1, 1920 to Justin and Carryl Smith. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, traveling, social activities, and was active in her church in the Faith Fellowship Church in Melbourne, FL. Grace was also a member of the On-Ti-Ora Chapter of the D.A.R. in Catskill, NY, a former member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Catskill, NY, past president of the Greene County, NY American Legion Auxiliary, past president of the B.O.E., Catskill, and American Legion auxiliary in Palenville, NY, and a member of Honor America in Melbourne. Grace retired from the New York State Department of Labor where she served as a clerk for many years. Grace was pre-deceased by her husband, Wilson Edwards of Melbourne, FL. Survivors include her nephew, Vincent Giordano of Catskill, NY, her nieces Susan Schlenker of Alabama, Diana Barkman of Saugerties, NY, and three great-nieces and one great-nephew. A memorial service for friends and family will be held at Florida Memorial Gardens, Rockledge, FL on Wednesday, March 6 at 10:00 AM.
