Obituary of Betty J. Welch

Betty J. Welch, age 82, passed away on Friday, February 12, 2010. Born in Kennydale, WA. Betty moved to Satellite Beach, FL in 1970 after serving/traveling as the wife/homemaker of a U.S. Air Force Member. Betty was a loving mother, sister, friend and supporter of individual wishes…She was in the "pits" and changed them to "cherries" in her way and time with the guidance of God. Her favorite past times were family, reading mysteries, music, tending her roses, and saving money. She will be deeply missed until we meet again. Betty was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years Joseph F. Welch (CMS) and sister Mae Kipperberg. She is survived by her sisters, Lilian Hoiby and Leone Gacke of Everett, WA and Peggy O'Neil of Rancho Mirage, CA, brother, George Werner of Longview, WA, daughters Catherine (Robert) Coffman of Cumming, GA, Charlotte Welch of Satellite Beach, FL, and Carol (Douglas) McDonald of Gallatin, TN; sons, Joseph (Sarah) Welch, Jr. of Ft. Pierce, FL and John (Beverly) Welch of East Hampton, CT, grandchildren, Dayna (Caleb), Dustin (Dana), Kyle (Andrea), Whitney, Shelby (John), John and Jordan, great-grandchildren, Brianna, Nicholas, Chase, Aubrey and yet to be born Joseph. In lieu of flowers, the family asks donations be made in Betty's memory to the American Cancer Society or Wuesthoff Hospice Care Center in Rockledge. A "Celebration of Life" will be held on Thursday, February 18, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at Beach Funeral Homes, 1689 S. Patrick Drive, Indian Harbour Beach, FL.
